FALCONRACE.PL is a non-profit organization cooperating with IFFSR (International Federation for Falconry Sport and Racing).
Our mission is to support and promote falconry as UNESCO intangible cultural heritage, as well as extension and improve training techniques for falconry birds, by popularizing modern solutions and organizing competitions that provide an opportunity to test the effectiveness of training methods.
Falconry is the art of training birds of prey for hunting and hunting with them, which is several thousand years old. The methods of training birds have changed over the centuries, but the fact that for a falconry bird to be an effective hunter, it must be in excellent condition, has always remained unchanged. Falconers around the world support each other, always putting the progress of their birds first. One way to compare the speed of hunting birds is the so-called "Telwah" races, very popular in Arab countries (UAE - "President's Cup", Qatar - "Al Da'aw Championships in Marmi", Saudi Arabia - "King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival in Riyadh"). "Telwah Falconry" is also becoming popular in Europe. Such races have been organized since 2019 in UK, and from 2023 also in the Czech Republic. Both Polish falconers and falcons from Polish breeding farms have been successfully participating in similar races for years.
